Plot summary
A biographical documentary traces the life of Albert Fish, an American serial killer and cannibal. He was also a child molester. In Depression-era New York City, elderly yet still deadly, he lured young victims away and killed them, and the film calls him sadomasochistic. Interviews with period footage and photographs sit alongside reenactment scenes that stage a number of his crimes again. A narrator's voice carries the account throughout. The film relates that Fish drew on biblical tales, taking their images of punishment, atonement and suffering as a literal instruction to inflict pain and to sacrifice the people he seized.
