Plot summary
In 1279, as the Pandyas force the Cholas from their homeland in southern India, the Chola emperor hides his heir and his remaining subjects in a secret territory, and they carry away an idol the Pandyas hold sacred. The refugees are never found. Generations pass; archaeologists hunting the vanished clan keep disappearing, and Chandramouli is the latest. The government sends the officer Anitha with an army unit under Major Ravisekharan, and recruits Chandramouli's estranged daughter, the archaeologist Lavanya, who has the route her father pieced together. Anitha adds a crew of porters led by Muthu. The group reaches Min-gua, an island close to Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia, where ancient Chola defenses wait.
