Plot summary
A hotel suite holds the weekend reunion of four high school friends. Barb, in her forties, has stepped away from her job and her household to organize it, hoping to recover the optimism and enthusiasm of her younger days. Patti and Karen arrive first. Patti, a wife and mother, is glad of a weekend away from a domineering husband; Karen appears happy to be among old friends. After pleasantries and some untruths, everything seems fine. Patti and Barb each hide the other's phone so that no one at home can reach them for one night. The women go to a bar in the neighborhood and come back with Patti in tow. Their questions to her are cut short when Liz arrives, newly divorced, a single mother with a career.
