Plot summary

On Halloween, Lincoln Loud and his best friend Clyde McBride weigh three ways to spend the night: trick-or-treating around their neighborhood, the signature Loud family Spooktacular, and a party hosted by Xander Coddington, a social media influencer who is the cool new kid at school. Lincoln and Clyde decide to skip the Spooktacular and go to Xander's party, a choice that disappoints the family. Rita Loud, worried about her family's teeth problems and her children's cavities, decides to hand out toothbrushes to the neighborhood children who come to the door instead of candy, and they do not take the swap well.
