Plot summary

Lucy Neal plays violin in a string quartet with Nessa, Priscilla, and Paul. Her boyfriend Jeff is unhappy that she will not satisfy him; when she looks at his laptop while he sleeps, she sees that he watches porn. They argue and break up, and Jeff moves out. Mid-performance at a wedding, Lucy breaks down and tells the others that Jeff left because of her, and after their encouragement she writes a list of sexual experiences to work through. She starts on it at home, and when Nessa and Priscilla visit, she takes them to a sex store instead. There she runs into Grant, a wedding guest who had comforted her when she was drunk in frustration at another reception.
