Plot summary
Ebony Scrooge ranks among the world's most successful pop stars, and her cold manner leaves her band and her manager, Bob Cratchett, unhappy. She also neglects her niece, Olivia. She once sang in a 1980s trio called Desire. In New York for a charity concert, the ghost of Marli Jacob appears, a former singing partner killed in a 1990 car crash. Marli says she is earthbound and in chains, and that Ebony abandoned her during her struggles with drug addiction, then used her death to build a solo career. Marli also says Ebony intends to donate only a small share of the concert money to the poor and keep the rest, and warns that three spirits will visit.
