Plot summary
Jack Radner loses his job and plans to fly to London for writing inspiration. In a diner, he spots Meghan, his former wife, and asks to take a seat near Maria Monis. Maria agrees to go along with the pretense, and once they are by themselves he thanks her with a pie. They start to get to know one another. On their first date Maria asks that they take things slowly, and she is religious while Jack is not. Jack says he has no belief in long-term commitment or in sharing a home.
