Plot summary
Nikki Turner is an aspiring chef who dreams of opening her own restaurant. When the Flop Two diner closes, she takes a position assisting Holly Hanson, the celebrity chef, cookbook author and restaurateur she admires. Paul Dellucci is Hanson's executive chef, and he has been urging her to put new dishes on the menu; she waves his suggestions away. Hanson permits Nikki to practice in the restaurant kitchen, provided Nikki keeps it quiet. Nikki cooks dishes of her own invention. Hanson, friendly in public, wants the restaurant back at its old standing and plans to take credit for the recipes her new assistant creates. Nikki and Paul get off to a difficult start in the kitchen.
