Plot summary
Dr. Carl Macklin is an atomic physicist. Communist agents in Canada spy on him because they want his knowledge. Eric Hartman runs the party's operation in Montreal, and he offers $100,000 to Joe Victor to carry out the kidnapping. Victor is a deported American criminal. Joyce Geary, Joe's former flame, is blackmailed into helping the kidnapping. Raoul Leduc, an inspector with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, looks into the case.
