Plot summary
Frankie has just left a bad marriage and drinks heavily. In East Los Angeles she gathers discarded furniture and clothing, sells some of it for spending money, and spends time among local musicians as a way to meet people. Lev drives a limousine and hopes to make a career in music. They meet in a dive bar, and the connection moves fast enough that she moves into his place. Lev also finds a musical opening with Charlie King Nash, an established roots-rocker who is stalled creatively and ready for a new start. Frankie and Lev must now work out how a serious relationship goes between them, and whether either is ready for one.
