Plot summary
Eric LeMarque once played professional hockey, but meth addiction has left his life in ruins. His mother tells him she will stop rescuing him unless he commits to recovery, and he faces a court date within days. Instead of dealing with those problems, he impulsively goes to the Sierra Nevada to snowboard alone. On the way, a local woman named Sarah warns him about cold-weather survival, but he ignores her advice. Once he is on the mountain, heavy snow and poor visibility make him lose his bearings. A fierce winter storm leaves him stranded far from any marked trail, and he must battle extreme cold, injuries, thirst, and his own personal demons to stay alive.
