Plot summary
Sam calls himself accidentally funny. He is an art student, and on the worst day of his life his girlfriend leaves him and art school throws him out. His portfolio falls open and his drawings scatter. A girl, Hope, picks up one drawing, a smiling face, and tells him he has lost his smile. She gets him laughing, they kiss in the rain, and she writes her number on his hand before a friend drives her away. The rain erases the number, so Sam takes a delivery job at his uncle's coffee shop to look for her.
