Plot summary
Eighteen-year-old Matilde shares a home with her mother, Laura, and her grandmother. Laura is struggling with debt and with failures of her own, and Matilde has cut herself off from the reality around her, attached instead to an online avatar. She has found a way of earning money: stripping on webcam. When Laura finally admits how much she owes, Matilde comes up with a plan she believes will solve everything, offering her virginity in exchange for the money that would clear the debt. Her plan brings in Ernesto, a wealthy man obsessed with sex and possessions, who is willing to pay.
