Plot summary
In Korean drug investigations, informants called yadang sell word of traffickers; dealers trade information for lighter sentences, and the police and prosecution use the same tips for arrests. Lee Kang-soo supported his mother as a designated driver until a customer's drug-laced drink and a prison term changed his life. Prosecutor Goo Gwan-hee noticed his memory, and used him to get close to the jailed head of a trafficking ring, gathering intelligence through him. Kang-soo became a yadang and Goo climbed the prosecutorial ranks. Narcotics detective Oh Sang-jae, meanwhile, brings in the actress Um Soo-jin on a drug charge, and sees the pair take over his cases, among them a bust involving a presidential candidate's son, Cho Hoon.
