The explosion destroyed evidence tied to a scandal at the Taesung Group. Suspected over a blast he did not cause, Jo tries to erase the evidence that points to him. He finds Jang Mi-na, Gi-chul's girlfriend, who holds footage sent to her before Gi-chul died. A public prosecutor offers to clear Jo's name if he brings him the video.

- Director Lee Jeong-beom was initially hesitant to put the Sewol Ferry disaster into a commercial film, but a 2015 visit to Danwon High School shocked him. He researched the real case to convey the victims' families' emotions, and did a lot of self-censorship during the five years it took to get the film made.
- Jeon So-nee, who played the teenage Mi-na, had her first leading role in a film with this part.
