Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Choi Min-sik reportedly gained 10 kilograms for his role in Nameless Gangster, while co-star Ha Jung-woo spent eight hours being fitted with the fake body tattoos his character wears.
- The film's scenes and lines were widely parodied on South Korean TV variety shows such as Gag Concert and Infinite Challenge, where comedians copied the characters' hairstyles and Choi Min-sik's catchphrase "살아 있네".
- The film's heavy use of the Busan dialect stirred new viewer interest in regional dialects long frowned on as "backwards" beside standard Seoul speech. Most gangster actors, except Cho Jin-woong, were not from Busan and had to learn the dialect from scratch over several months.
