Plot summary
Barry works as a mechanic and lives in an Australian city with his wife Annie and their daughter Meganne. His sister Brooke is at her photo studio in Bulla, Victoria when, during a meteor shower, her model attacks her; Brooke calls Barry and tells him to get out of the city. The outbreak reaches his home, where the family puts on gas masks and fights its way to the car. Another survivor, Chalker, finds him, and Barry asks to be taken to Brooke's studio. A paramilitary group has already taken Brooke prisoner in the back of a truck, and a doctor is running experiments there on zombies and on her. On the road, Barry teams up with Benny, another survivor, and the two arm themselves for the journey through the bushland.
