Plot summary
Natasha O'Brien is a celebrated pastry chef who arrives in London to help prepare a state dinner for Elizabeth II. The dinner is organized by Maximillian Vandeveer, a food critic and the publisher of a gourmet magazine, who champions a group of famous European chefs, each known for one signature dish. Natasha's ex-husband, Robby Ross, runs a fast-food business. Max's health is failing from his dependence on the specialties of the chefs he praises, and his latest issue celebrates their finest dishes. When the chefs from that issue begin turning up dead, each killed in the manner of the dish that made him famous, food critics and chefs who claim to be the greatest in Europe want the mystery solved.
