When We Were Boys (2013) on Netflix

Plot summary

It is Christmas time in 1967, and the parish's boys play their hockey on outdoor rinks. Their team is the second one in the parish, and because they are hosting the Holiday Tournament, their entry into it is guaranteed. They know they are not the most gifted players, yet the idea of winning the tournament stays with them. Off the ice there are the moments that come with being their age, some amusing and some hard, and no one deals with them alone. Méo, Ben, Marcel, Fern, Bob, Jean-Charles and Stan have chosen to face all of it together, and to grow up the same way.
