Plot summary
Lisa, a medical student, and Giorgi, a soccer player, meet twice on the same day in Kutaisi and fall in love, arranging to meet at a café the next evening. On her walk home a seedling, a security camera and a drainpipe warn Lisa of a curse, and then the wind does too. Her roommate Maya gives her a black amber ring to wear through the night. Both wake up looking completely different, and the curse is meant to keep them from finding one another again. Each also loses their greatest talent: Lisa her medical knowledge from university, Giorgi his footballing qualities. His coach takes him for a stranger and orders him off the sports field. Maya advises Lisa to call in sick and keep the café appointment. Neither recognizes the other, and each believes the other never came.
