Plot summary
Taylor has served thirteen years of a manslaughter sentence and works as a prison cook. Good behavior has made him eligible for early release. He cuts hair for two prisoners, Gaz and Paul, who sell him the drugs he is addicted to. A new cellmate, Dee, moves in and begins dealing inside, which eats into the pair's control of the trade. Taylor and Dee grow close, and Taylor admits that his own dealing caused a teenager's death. Dee lends him a phone to call Adam, who is fourteen and estranged from him, and arranges for a pair of expensive trainers to reach the boy as a gift from Taylor. Gaz and Paul beat Dee unconscious and force Taylor to throw a punch while they film it.
