His father, Zheng Gang, is a powerful man who warns him off, but Su goes anyway to a banquet given by Li Zhitian, a wealthy businessman in the city. Li Huilin, another officer, joins forces with him on the case. At the table, Su watches Li Zhitian humiliate his guests and push his own hand into a boiling hotpot. As the evening goes on, troubling clues come to light, among them a body sealed inside a wall, an attack with a wrench, and an off-the-books transfer of nearly ten billion yuan.
