Plot summary
Michael Lees is tired of the modern world, so he carries basic survival gear, religious texts and a camera into the forest of Dominica. He wants to live the way an uncivilized man does and to work out what makes a good life and why people ever left the woods. He begins to settle into that routine. Then Category 5 Hurricane Maria strikes the island head on while he is out in the open under a palm leaf and bamboo hut. The forest is wrecked, services are gone, and the island faces a past way of life.
