Plot summary
Over two nights at Chicago's United Center in May 2005, U2 played the concerts gathered here, part of the Vertigo Tour mounted behind How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. The band moves through its history, playing early material such as "The Electric Co." alongside "New Year's Day", "Pride (In the Name of Love)" and "Where the Streets Have No Name", and songs from the new album, among them "Vertigo". Before the group takes the stage, a recording of Arcade Fire's "Wake Up" is heard. The arena's LCD rings, normally carrying scores and advertisements at sporting events, display patterns that match the stage lighting, plus static during "Zoo Station". The second night falls on the singer's 45th birthday. Errors made by the band members stay in rather than being cut.

- A clip of "Original of the Species" from the concert was used in commercials for Apple's first video-capable iPods, and a silhouette of Bono singing it during the show became the "Artists" icon in the iPhone and iPod Touch Music app.
