Plot summary
Gallery owner Brooke Gatwick and her husband, news reporter Owen Shore, have been together since high school and have been trying to start a family. Brooke is opening her own New York gallery with paintings by Ansgar Doyle, a street artist known for nudes, who openly expresses his attraction to her and tries to reach her in the middle of the night. Owen buys tickets for a Christmas trip to Paris after the opening, hoping time away will help them conceive, but Brooke wants to focus on the gallery. Odd text messages on Owen's phone lead Brooke to think he may be unfaithful. Ansgar tells her a film director wants to buy his art and will meet them at a Paris hotel, and she reluctantly accepts.
