Plot summary
Malcolm O'Keefe is taken from his breakfast table by two men and committed to a mental asylum at his wife Joan's request. Years later, Linda is hired to babysit Joan's son Christopher on Halloween while Joan and her new husband Richard perform as magicians in Las Vegas. Christopher torments Linda with a fake guillotine, a smoke bomb, and a joy buzzer. At the asylum, Malcolm has been there for nearly four years and plans his escape. With help from another inmate, he gets out and vows revenge on those who put him away. He makes his way to the house.
