Plot summary
In 2009 in Fort Collins, Colorado, Richard and Mayumi Heene reported that their son Falcon, six years old, was inside a homemade helium balloon that had floated away. The claim drew live international news coverage and a nationwide panic. The documentary returns to the case sixteen years later, with the Heene family, journalists and investigators giving new interviews. The Heenes continue to maintain their innocence and argue that the event was misunderstood rather than a publicity stunt. Others in the film argue that the family did it for viral fame. The documentary is part of the Trainwreck series and includes archival footage.
