Plot summary
Amélie left Japan as a small child and grew up in Belgium. At twenty she decides to go back to Tokyo, taking a small apartment there, so that she can reconnect with Japanese culture. To support herself she offers French lessons, advertising with a poster. Rinri, a young Japanese man, is interested in the offer and begins taking lessons from her. He asks her to come to a party, and there she meets Yasmine and Christine. She also meets his parents at his house. A romance begins between them soon after. Rinri takes her to the theater, to restaurants and to other places so she can learn more about the country's culture and its language.
