Plot summary
Sarah and Jason have made Shanghai their home. They go to Vancouver, British Columbia, for the funeral of Jason's uncle, Raymond, and lodge with his Aunt Mei. In Vancouver, the couple is already disoriented, and they grow unnerved when Sammy, their son, starts seeing ghosts and violent deaths. During this time, Sammy falls gravely ill, and his illness coincides with Ghost Month, the Chinese festival.
