Plot summary
Relatives who see one another often and relatives who barely know each other come together on the island where Alba and Pietro settled, filling their villa for the couple's fiftieth wedding anniversary. The house holds sons and daughters, their partners and grandchildren. Three generations sit down to the celebration, among them divorced parents, mismatched couples and siblings carrying old grudges. Then a storm closes in, and the family stays on the island longer than anyone planned. With the guests stuck in the house together, the quarrels and secrets that usually stay hidden break into the open, and the anniversary gathering takes a different course.
