Plot summary
A young filmmaker encounters Raya Sinitsina, a Soviet war heroine of 94 who lived through the Siege of Leningrad, and begins to follow her with a camera. She leads the World War II Disabled Veterans Club in her Israeli city, and through her he gets to know members of a generation that is disappearing from Israel. Her fighting spirit and willpower are undiminished. As her final comrades die and her body grows weaker, the two are drawn into a spiritual process that wakes the young woman inside her. Her dreams and her viewpoint give them a reality of their own, one in which age and time stop counting. The bond that forms between them turns a film about war and bereavement into a mystical tale of love and friendship.
