Plot summary
A test at a particle accelerator in Luxembourg is meant to create a small black hole as an energy source, and Dr. Thomas Abernathy, who owns Filadyne, leads it. Dr. Soderstrom, present at the site, tries to stop the experiment because of the danger it poses. The test goes ahead, the accelerator is destroyed, and Dr. Soderstrom and other personnel in the control room are killed. Eight years later, his daughter Eva, a physicist, sets out to prove that Abernathy was responsible for her father's death. Professor Steven Price, who works for Filadyne, can give her data about the company's activities. Eva also learns that Abernathy plans another experiment, and she is determined to stop it.
