The Unmaking of a College (2022) on Netflix

Plot summary

In 2019 Hampshire College, one of the country's most experimenting schools, faces a new president who moves to surrender its independence. Students occupy her office and stay for 75 days, the longest sit-in in American college history. They film from the start, gathering a record to hold the administration accountable and to strengthen their campaign. Their footage is set beside interviews with students, professors, whistleblowers and alumni, and the film describes a powerful institution pressing an inexperienced administration. The standoff plays out at a moment when many liberal arts colleges across the United States are failing, and the film presents it as democracy in action.
