Plot summary
Crash Corrigan, Dusty King and Alibi Terhune work as deputy marshals, and their assignment is a gold robbery at the Denver Mint. Their search leads them to Bottleneck, a dilapidated ghost town in Arizona that is supposed to be deserted, yet a few residents live there below the radar. Nancy Nordick and her father Dan own abandoned former goldmines in the town and have faith that they will eventually strike the mother lode. Two vicious killers, The Gunman and The Jingler, are skulking around the decrepit town, and one of them impersonates ghostly spirits in an attempt to frighten the Nordicks.
