In Manila, women keep vanishing from the streets, and those who are caught are held in a cave by a cult that drinks human blood at its rites, believing the drink holds off old age and death. Laura is the one chosen for the coming ceremony, and she refuses. The other captives in the cave want out, and the high priest Baru leads the ritual that the cult expects her to join.
