Plot summary
An estate sale in rural Canada lands on Kate, a workaholic lawyer, in the last weeks before Christmas, and her firm hints that a promotion may hinge on it. The property is a historic inn with a local reputation for being haunted. The expert sent to inspect it leaves without a conclusion, and the caretaker tells Kate the resident spirit will not approve of any sale. Kate insists on staying there alone, and she meets Daniel, a gentleman bound by a curse since his death at the inn during Prohibition. He materializes only for the twelve days of Christmas, and the two are drawn to each other.
