Plot summary
Speedcubing turns a puzzle into a race, with competitors solving a scrambled Rubik's Cube in seconds. Feliks Zemdegs of Australia has stood at the top of the sport for nearly a decade. Max Park, a solver from California, is autistic, and his family has used cubing to support his social skills and emotional development. He won gold in 2017 and climbed quickly, with Feliks the one rival he could not shake. The two trade wins and world records, and their rivalry has grown into a friendship in which each wants the other to do well. The 2019 World Championships in Melbourne bring both to the same stage, chasing the same title.
