Plot summary
Jimmy Quinn is a veteran of stand up comedy's glory days, and he is also an alcoholic. Both things have been true of him for years, and the film that follows him treats them as comedy and drama in roughly equal measure.
His life changes when David, the son he abandoned as a child, arrives at his door and announces that he wants to be a stand up comedian himself. What follows sets an older man's wreckage against a younger one's ambition, and asks whether someone who ruined his own first chance is any use to a person just starting out.
Greg Glienna directs from a script written with Tony Boswell, for CEM Productions. Doug Stanhope plays Jimmy Quinn and Des Mulrooney plays David, with Khrystyne Haje as Laura, Greg Fitzsimmons as Mickey and Tim Kazurinsky as Phil. It runs 105 minutes.
