Plot summary
Tony Potenza is a workaholic Hollywood producer whose drinking and job stress have worn down his marriage to Josie. She is bound by a prenuptial agreement that is bad for her. She talks him into a romantic getaway at a remote lakeside cabin, but his worries about the studio take precedence, so she tells him to go home and stays on alone. At a local bar she notices Cole Wilson staring at her and leaves. Her Jeep breaks down on a country road at night, and Cole drives up and offers to take her in his truck. He convinces her he is harmless, and she accepts his invitation to dinner the next night. Over drinks afterward Josie talks about her unhappy marriage; she has sometimes imagined her husband dead.
