Plot summary
The pupils of St Trinian's burn down the school building, are tried at the Old Bailey and found guilty. The police are glad to see the case in court. A judge's infatuation with one of the girls means the school is freed rather than closed. Professor Canford, a philosophy professor at the University of Baghdad, suggests that the girls need sympathy rather than punishment. He offers money for a new school building, where the educator Miss Harker-Packer is to help rehabilitate them. To show how the gentle approach is working, Miss Harker-Packer proposes the school stage a cultural festival, with a fashion show, a dramatic presentation and a painting demonstration. Ministry officials Culpepper-Brown and Butters are invited.
