Plot summary
Luisaidh, 24, is from Inverness and sells cheese at a supermarket, a job she has stuck with while her evenings go to heavy drinking and to sex with men she does not know. Almost a year earlier her best friend Alistair was killed when he jumped off a bridge and was hit by a train, and memories of the year they spent together keep returning to her. One night she meets a stranger at a bar and they sleep together. To her surprise he tracks her down after that, and the two meet a few more times before he tells her that he is going home.
