Plot summary
Nōhime is sent from her own region to marry Oda Nobunaga, a political match arranged to mend a hostile relationship between their two neighboring domains. The two of them are opposites in temperament, and the marriage brings neither of them much happiness. Word then comes that Nobunaga's enemy Imagawa Yoshimoto is marching on Owari at the head of a vast army, and the overwhelming gap in military strength between the two sides leaves Nobunaga devastated. Nōhime, however, refuses to let him despair, and together the pair draw up a tactical plan meant to overcome the odds stacked against them.
