Plot summary

Shun Hashimoto, a gay novelist, lives in Okinawa. On a beach he meets Mio Chibana, a high school student whose mother has died and who lives with relatives. Shun reaches out to him, and the reaction reminds Shun of the distance from his own parents, who learned his sexual orientation. The two grow closer. Mio is an Okinawa native. He tells Shun that he is moving to the city and promises to keep in contact once he is there.
