Plot summary
A dream of the sun dropping out of the sky comes to Littlefoot, and his grandparents admit they share it. Taking only their instinct as a guide, they leave the Great Valley, and Cera, Spike, Ducky and Petrie follow out of curiosity. A Supersaurus named Sue saves Littlefoot from a Sarcosuchus in a swamp and joins the march, and soon dozens of other Longnecks, all feeling the same pull, are traveling alongside them. In that same swamp the friends are attacked by a Sarcosuchus, and after escaping it they shelter in a cave and meet Pat, an elderly Apatosaurus. Every herd is bound for one place, a huge crater.
