Plot summary
A state visit brings President Adam Scott to Canada, and Secret Service agent Jerry O'Connor warns him that his life is in danger. Scott pays the warning no mind. While he walks through Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto, the South American terrorist Roberto Assanti and a female accomplice take him. The pair asks for $100 million in diamonds and two airplanes to give him back. The president is kept inside an armored truck wired with explosives set to go off at midnight, and O'Connor looks for a way in. Around him, federal law enforcement agencies fight over who runs the case, and Vice President Ethan Richards has ambitions of his own.
