Plot summary
Leone is sixteen and lives in Italy with his two fathers, Simone and Paolo. He was born in California with the help of Tilly, an American woman who made his birth possible, and he grew up like other children, though he experienced the struggles for rights his family took part in. For a school assignment he is making a short video about his parents with his best friend Jacopo. At the same time he is about to have his first love story and encounters prejudices and misunderstandings about his sexuality. The steadiness of his family now seems at risk, and the situation leads him to reflect on the invisible thread linking him to his fathers and to all who wanted his birth.
