The Insult (2017) on Netflix

Plot summary

Tony Hanna is a Lebanese Christian who repairs cars in Beirut and a devoted member of the Lebanese Forces; his wife Shirine is expecting a child. He does not want workers around the property while she is there, and when he finds contractors altering the gutter on his balcony, he smashes the pipe. The foreman, Yasser Abdallah Salameh, curses him, and by his accent Tony recognizes him as a Palestinian refugee. Tony watches anti-Palestinian propaganda and wishes the Palestinians would leave the country, so he demands a personal apology. At his garage the meeting goes wrong: Tony declares that he wishes Israel's prime minister, Ariel Sharon, had wiped out the Palestinians, and Yasser punches him, breaking two ribs. Tony brings a lawsuit and speaks for himself in court.
