Plot summary

Michel is an inmate, and Sylvie is the theater teacher who runs the class he attends. They marry, to the dismay of her grown son Abel, since her earlier relationships with prisoners all ended badly. Once Michel is out, the two plan to open a flower shop in premises a friend has provided as a favor. Abel doubts the arrangement is honest, so he asks Clémence, his best friend and colleague at the aquarium where he works, to help him follow Michel. Their attempts at spying are easily discovered. Michel then explains the debt behind the shop: he and an associate, Jean-Paul, intend to intercept a caviar delivery, taking the cargo from a truck while its driver is inside a restaurant. Abel is offered a share of the profits so that he will not go to the police.
