Plot summary
John is a teenager who has served a prison sentence for killing his ex-girlfriend. He returns to the household of his father and his younger brother, hoping to begin his life over. The community around them has not forgotten the crime, and it has not forgiven him. People he meets react badly to his return, and an atmosphere of mob hostility slowly takes shape. The friends he once had keep their distance, and the people he loves stay away as well, leaving him to feel abandoned. The aggression that once sent him to prison starts to build in him again.
