Plot summary
Ancient fossils sleeping beneath Fossa Magna come together and take the shape of a giant yōkai whose path leads to Tokyo. To modern eyes the creature looks like a natural disaster, and only the yōkai understand what is really coming. Left alone, it will bring destruction to the world. Kei Watanabe, a schoolboy in Tokorozawa, Saitama, carries the blood of a legendary monster hunter. Peace-loving spirits summon him as the hero who can save the world, and his brother Dai is drawn in with him. The two are separated, and Kei's task becomes finding Dai and restoring harmony between the human and spirit worlds.
